Rotary District 5000 Launches Statewide “Aloha Action Campaign” to Inspire Community Engagement and Service

Hawaii – January 6, 2025 – Rotary District 5000 is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking Aloha Action Campaign, a state-wide initiative aimed at raising awareness of Rotary’s impactful service projects, engaging new audiences, and inspiring community members to take action.

Through this innovative campaign, Rotary invites Hawaii residents to participate in a unique “try before you join” experience with the Hawaii Rotary Passport Program. The campaign officially kicks off on January 6, 2025, with TV ads, supported by a live website and promotional video.

A Campaign to Build Connections Through Service

“The Aloha Action Campaign is a celebration of Rotary’s commitment to service and the aloha spirit,” said Ted Faigle, District Governor. “We want to share the opportunities Rotary provides for individuals to make a meaningful difference in their communities while building lasting friendships.”

The campaign encourages participants to download a Rotary Passport from rotaryinhawaii.org/aloha. Passport holders are invited to attend Rotary service projects, meetings, and social events across Hawaii to collect stamps and learn firsthand how Rotary creates change.

How It Works:

  1. Download the Passport: Visit rotaryinhawaii.org/aloha or scan the QR code featured in campaign materials.
  2. Attend Rotary Events: Participate in service projects, meetings, or social events hosted by Rotary clubs statewide.
  3. Collect Stamps: Get your passport stamped at each event and experience the power of Rotary in action.

A Campaign for Impact and Growth

The Aloha Action Campaign aligns with Rotary’s mission of service above self and aims to:

  • Raise Awareness: Highlight Rotary’s People of Action and the transformative work being done in communities across Hawaii.
  • Engage New Audiences: Welcome individuals who are curious about Rotary and its impact.
  • Drive Membership: Encourage attendees to become active members of their local Rotary clubs.

“With the Hawaii Rotary Passport, we’re not just inviting people to watch from the sidelines. We’re inviting them to join us in action and feel the impact of service firsthand,” said Joshua Laguana, Past President of the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor, Oahu.
