Submitted by Bill Gaeth, Past President of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise
Honolulu, HI (November 2024) – The Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise is spreading holiday cheer by donating $2,000 to support the 2024 Foodland/Salvation Army “Share a Holiday Feast” program. This generous contribution, matched by the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunrise Foundation, provided 100 turkeys to help deserving Oahu families enjoy a warm and festive holiday meal.
The program, a collaboration between the Salvation Army and Foodland Super Market, ensures that families in need can celebrate the season with a traditional holiday feast.
“This initiative reflects the Rotary Club’s commitment to service above self, especially during the holiday season when giving back means so much to so many,” said Bill Gaeth, Rotary Club member.
Rotary members and past presidents, Dave Erdman, Dave Mozdren, and Bill Gaeth joined Salvation Army Major Tom Stambaugh at Ala Moana Foodland store freezer to celebrate this meaningful donation.
