The Rotary Peace Fellowship application is open

Aloha kakou,

As a humanitarian organization, Rotary makes peace a cornerstone of our mission. And so, Promoting Peace is one of our seven Areas of Focus. The Rotary Peace Fellowship and its Peace Centers train leaders to prevent and mediate conflict through fully-funded fellowships for a Master’s Degree or Professional (post-graduate) Certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
Applications for the new academic year, Fall of 2026, are now available. I serve as the D5000 main point of contact and support for the Rotary Peace Fellowship, and I ask for your help in finding qualified candidates. See below for more information — if you or your suggested candidate have questions or seek more information, please contact me directly.

Rotary Peace Fellowship application
We are now accepting applications for 2026 Rotary Peace Fellowships! We hope you will join us in promoting the peace fellowship opportunity within your communities and enlisting the help of club members across your district to find qualified candidates. The application will be open until 15 May 2025, and interested candidates can apply through our application webpage.

This year, The Rotary Foundation will award up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and up to 80 fellowships for professional development certificates at premier universities.

We are grateful to have your support and assistance as we seek the next generation of Rotary Peace Fellows to study at our Rotary Peace Centers in 2026. Your District Rotary Peace Fellowship Subcommittee Chair will:

  • Serve as the main point of contact and support for Rotary Peace Fellowship candidates; we encourage all candidates to contact their local or nearest club or district to learn about Rotary and seek guidance during the application process.
  • Educate Rotary and Rotaract clubs about the Rotary Peace Fellowship so they can promote it through their networks; remember that Rotaractors remain eligible for the fellowship as long as they are not also a dual Rotary club member.
  • Send the Application Announcement (available in multiple languages on our website) to local organizations and institutions; encourage the peace and development leaders in your community to apply.
  • Mentor qualified candidates during the application process and submit a district recommendation; ask district Rotary Peace Fellowship subcommittee members to help.

Thank you for your district leadership and commitment to the Rotary Peace Fellowship and to building peace through Rotary’s programs and initiatives. Contact us at [email protected]“>[email protected] with any questions.

Sincerely,
The Rotary Peace Centers team
