ALOHA ROTARACTORS,
Spooky season is here so that means candies, treats and tricks everywhere. The best time to buy a pumpkin is the 15th to the 20th because that ensures that the pumpkin will be fresh enough to carve and display for Halloween.
For October, we have a few events going on. First, we will be collaborating with UH Rotaract to clean up at Diamond Head Cliff beach. If you will be attending, please sign up. Second, we will be having a children and youth day to support our keiki and to develop our future leaders. Lastly, we are going to spread mental health awareness through our Nami Walk with Rotary.
October will be our last month that we will be collecting donations, checks, or venmos that will be used to purchase small gifts and basic necessities for Operation Christmas Child. If you would like to donate, write a check to “Rotaract E-Club Ohana,” or venmo our treasurer, Nicole Baltazar, @nnickii5
As of July 1, 2024, our membership fee is $30 and will include a RECO T-shirt. Any returning member will have an annual membership fee of $15, while new members will have an annual membership fee of $30. Note that all membership fees will last you one full year from the day you pay. This means that if you joined/paid on Sept. 1, we won’t ask for a payment from you again until the following Sept. 1. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know! Please venmo your membership fee payment to Nicole Baltazar @nnickii5.

Nami Walk
Saturday, October 12th @ 8:00AM – 12:00PM|| Frank Fasi Civic Grounds, Honolulu
We hope to bring awareness to as many people as we can about mental health, so bring your family and friends. It is a great opportunity to learn about mental health and the resources available, and to help raise funds for this great cause.
Operation Christmas Child
October 1st to October 31st
During the holiday season, many of us are blessed with toys and gifts, however, there are children who are not so fortunate. Operation Christmas Child (OCC) makes it easy for the average person to help those kids out. As a club, we purchase toys and basic necessities that fit in a shoebox, which is then distributed internationally via carrier pigeon (Samaritan’s Purse International). If you would like to donate, write a check to “Rotaract E-Club Ohana,” or venmo our treasurer, Nicole Baltazar, @nnickii5
